Class 1 Driver

We are delighted to be assisting our family run client in Fraserburgh who are looking for nightshift Class 1 Drivers to join their growing team on a full time permanent basis.

Hours of work: 12 hours shifts - 4 on 4 off

Duties & responsibilities:

• Transporting of goods from Fraserburgh to Bathgate.
• Load and unload the trailer individually, using a mix of manual and electric Material Handling Equipment.
• Full training will be given at the clients Distribution Centre.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs and invoices.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.

Essential skills and qualifications:

• Clean C+E Licence (Class 1)
• Valid CPC & Digi Tacho Card
• Reliable & Trustworthy
• Well Presented
• Able to work as part of a team and under own initiative
• Experience with refrigerated and curtain sided trailers preferred.
• Due to Insurance, applicants must be over the age of 25 and a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience.
• Cabs are fitted with fridge & microwave.
