Delivery Driver - Poole

Job Description

An established catering butchers based in Poole, Dorset are currently seeking an experienced Multi Drop Delivery Driver for their busy team.

You will be required to help deliver a range of fresh and frozen produce to various catering establishments. 

Good local knowledge required as drops will be across the Dorset and Hampshire area.

Working Hours (6:30am to 2:30pm):

45 hours per week, worked over 6 days, Monday to Saturday or;

37.5 hours per week worked over 5 days. Monday to Saturday. (Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays are essential working days)

Starting salary £12.50 per hour depending on experience. Pay reviews are possible depending on performance and attendance.

As a representative of the Company who visits our customers, we require drivers who understand the importance of customer service.

Additionally the role involves:

• Accurately checking delivery/advice notes, reporting any anomalies
• Loading & unloading vehicles as required, lifting and carrying heavy weights (max. 20kg)
• Maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles both inside and out

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of multi-drop delivering, ideally in the food industry
• A good local knowledge of roads within a 50 mile radius of Poole
• Good customer service skills
•  A good level of both written and spoken English
• The ability to build professional relationships with customers
• Be well presented
