HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER

PERMANENT ROLE – 4 ON 4 OFF NIGHTS – £34,932.71 PER ANNUM 

Class 1 Factory Clearance Drivers are needed as part of our general haulage supply chain for our British Salt contract based out of Middlewich.

• £34,932.71 per annum 
• Start time 18:00
• 12 hours shifts
• 42.46 hours per week
• Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off
• Nights 
• £19.78 per hour overtime paid after 184 hours worked per month
• £21.47 - 6th shift non scheduled
• £26.56 - 7th shift non scheduled  
• £1.46 per our night premium
• 20.5 days holiday including bank holidays

How will you contribute:

• Responsible for running from the warehouse to the production site.
• Loading up products that have been produced and return to the warehouse.
• Responsible for clearing up the factory of produced stock as well as collecting and delivering.
• Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products.         
• Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.   
• Securing the load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage. 
• Provide excellent customer service at all times and take ownership of customer issues on delivery. 
• Carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner.   
• Be aware of the vehicle defects and bring them to the attention of the Transport Office as necessary. 
• Attend essential training in order to carry out the Driver role. 
• The requirement to complete updates and daily tasks utilising the provided interactive device (PDA).
• At times may be required to cover the on site Middlewich internal transfers/shunter role

What will you bring: 

• Must have valid in date Class 1 licence 
• Must hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card) 
• Must hold Digital Tachograph card 
• Must not have more than 6 points on licence 
• Must have minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience 
• Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills 
• Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised 
• Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service 
• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work 
• Must have a good geographical knowledge
