Opportunity for a Van Driver (Hinkley Point C) working with Altrad on the Hinkley Point C Project,

 

As one of our drivers you carry out daily checks in line with company procedures prior to leaving the depot to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, the load is safe and secure. The company expects that as a driver you will uphold the high standards set by the company and to run the Vehicle in an effective manner and minimise damage to the vehicle.


Main Duties:

  • Ensure full compliance with Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Adhere to Drivers Hours, Working Time.
  • Conduct walk-round inspections of vehicle, and complete defect reporting.
  • Use a tablet-based system to log job completions.
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle in excellent condition.


Qualifications/Experience:

  • Valid CCNSG card
  • Full UK driving License 
  • Safety-critical medical (or willingness to obtain)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Full PPE
  • Previous experience as a driver on a busy construction or infrastructure site
  • Familiarity with managing HGV movements, plant operations, and pedestrian interfaces
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence directing multiple plant types
  • Proven awareness of on-site health, safety, and environmental protocols
  • Experience working on high-security or regulated projects such as nuclear, MOD, or rail is advantageous
  • SC or BPSS clearance (or willingness to undergo vetting)
