Description
Transport is a vital part of ensuring patients can access the care and support they need at Marie Curie.
As a Minibus Driver Volunteer, you’ll help patients attend wellbeing services, outpatient appointments, or return them home afterwards. By providing safe and reliable transport, you’ll make a real difference to their experience and help Marie Curie deliver compassionate care in a practical way.
Availability: Up to 4 hours on any weekday
Time: Anytime between 9am and 4:30pm
Location: Marie Curie Hospice, Maudsley Street, Bradford BD3 9LE
Criteria: Minimum 18 years of age. UK Driving Licence
What you'll do:
- Collect patients from agreed locations at pre-arranged times and transport them safely to the hospice
- Return patients home after their pre-arranged appointment has finished
- Ensure patients gain safe entry to their destinations
- Refer any medical, social, or personal concerns expressed by patients to staff
- Ensure vehicle space and any equipment are clean, safe, and ready for use
