Job Title: Delivery Driver

Department: Operations 

Location: Head Office (Stafford)

Position: Full Time

Hours: Monday - Friday (Core hours 06:00-15:00) Starting times are subject to route planning, including but not limited to 04:00am starts / 18:00 finishes. 

Principle Purpose of Position:

To drive the Westgate 3.5t flatbed delivery vehicle. This involves the collecting and loading of goods at the Westgate premises in Stafford and delivering and offloading goods to client sites across the UK. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• ​Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Collecting and loading goods at Westgate and client sites
• Delivering and offloading goods at Westgate and client sites
• Ensure goods are handled carefully and loaded securely to minimise damage
• Ensure goods do not exceed the maximum weight for the vehicle
• Flexibility as may include earlier starts and later finishes for long distance deliveries/collections
• Maintain adherence to Westgate company vehicle and driving policies
• Professional representation of Westgate Global at client sites

Skills and Competencies:

• Careful and conscientious driver
• Ensure compliance with UK driving laws 
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and politely with clients at delivery/collection sites
• Take responsibility for ensuring that applicable tolls, parking charges and other zone charges are communicated to the office for payment, to avoid penalty charges
• Diligence to ensure safe loading/unloading of vehicle
• Physically capable of manual labour that includes lifting, bending, and reaching
• Able to lift 25kg safely and on a regular basis
• Reliable and punctual

• 2-3 years of relevant driving experience

Qualifications

• Clean UK driving licence
• Forklift Licence
