- Hackney Downs Studios
- Luminary Hackney: 71-73 Allen Road, Stoke Newington, London N16 8RY
- Luminary Camden: 47 Chalk Farm, Road, London, NW1 8AJ) with daily routes around London for delivery
Hours of Work: We are seeking candidates for both full-time flexi (40 hours per week) and part-time (20 hours per week) roles, including a 30-minute daily break.
Available shift patterns are as follows:
● Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
● Monday to Friday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
● Saturday / Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
There will be occasional flexibility required for early starts, late finishes, or weekend work based on business needs.

Reporting to our Operations Team, you’ll take responsibility for delivering high-quality baked goods with exceptional customer service. While we aim to provide a regular delivery round so you can build strong connections with our customers, we appreciate flexibility to step in and support colleagues when needed.

Key Deliverables
Operational Responsibilities
- Complete early morning wholesale deliveries to cafés and corporate clients, ensuring orders are delivered on time and in perfect condition.
- Return to the bakery for midday delivery preparation, including handling new sales opportunities for customers south of the river.
- Follow loading procedures to optimise efficiency and reduce errors.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation vehicle checks, promptly reporting any defects to the Operations Team.
- Maintain the delivery vehicle’s cleanliness, tidiness, and fuel levels, ensuring it is always ready for the next shift.
- Collect orders from customers or suppliers as required by the Operations or Purchasing team.
- Ensure accurate recording of deliveries and collections using designated software and paperwork systems.
Customer Service & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a professional and courteous representative of Luminary Bakery during all deliveries, providing loyal and helpful service to customers.
- Build strong relationships with wholesale and corporate clients, offering excellent customer service and addressing any delivery concerns effectively.
- Share the Luminary story with clients and customers where appropriate, acting as an ambassador for our mission and values.
- Assist customers with unloading their orders where needed, ensuring their experience is smooth and positive.
Health & Safety
- Conduct thorough vehicle checks pre- and post-operation, reporting any issues in line with operational policies.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations when handling chilled and baked goods.
Example Daily Activities
- Loading and unloading deliveries at the bakery and customer sites.
- Completing accurate records of deliveries and collections, ensuring all paperwork is signed upon delivery.
- Handling multi-drop deliveries across London, including ambient and chilled products.
- Conducting midday customer collections and new sales deliveries.
- Cleaning and servicing the delivery vehicle after use, ensuring it is fully fuelled and ready for the next day.
Role Requirements
- Strong geographical knowledge of London, Greater London, and the South East, with confidence driving in these areas.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- A positive, ‘can-do’ attitude, self-motivation, and a willingness to support colleagues.
- A full and valid driving licence.
