HGV Class 1 Driver

My client, a well established freight and haulage company, is recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their growing transport team based in IG11. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for ongoing work within a busy and supportive logistics operation.

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. The role involves working within general haulage and freight operations, maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service throughout each shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles for deliveries and collections

Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects

Ensuring transport paperwork is completed accurately

Following driver hours and road transport regulations

Communicating professionally with transport teams and customers

Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence

CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

Previous experience within freight, logistics, haulage, or distribution

Port Card or Rhides Card would be advantageous

Good understanding of transport regulations and compliance

Reliable and professional approach to work
