HGV Driver - Class 2

 Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver

 Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence – Essential.

Job Purpose

To safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 vehicle collecting commercial waste from customer locations while maintaining high standards of customer service, health and safety, and compliance with transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Always Operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle safely and legally.
  
• Collect and transport commercial waste in accordance with company and environmental regulations.
  
• Complete daily vehicle checks and reports any defects promptly.
  
• Ensure all collections are completed within scheduled timeframes.
  
• Follow health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
  
• Maintain accurate records, including vehicle and collection documentation.
  
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
  
• Work collaboratively with loaders and site teams as required.
  
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
  

Experience Required

• Previous experience driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
  
• Experience within waste management, recycling, or commercial collections is desirable.
  
• Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations.
  
• Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
  
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence – Essential.
  

Additional Information

• Pay Rate: £22.20 per hour (UMB).
  
• Bank Holidays and overtime paid at time and a half.
  
• Ad Hoc Temporary Assignment.
  
• Up to 4 days per week.
  
• 9.25-hour shifts.
  
• Monday to Friday working pattern.
  
• One rest day within the week.
  
• No DBS check required.
  
• No references required.
