Join our team as a Van Driver, where you will ensure a professional customer delivery service while maintaining a safe and competent standard of driving. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer care and uphold our commitment to safety and compliance.
Location: South Normanton, Derbyshire
Pay Rate: Β£13.64 per hour
Working Hours: 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with start times between 5 AM and 8 AM
Contract Type: Fixed term contract until 30th June 2025
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver goods to customers with the highest level of care to ensure maximum satisfaction.
Drive safely, adhering to speed limits and traffic regulations, while being mindful of other road users.
Execute timely deliveries in the planned sequence, unless otherwise authorized.
Communicate promptly with the transport office regarding any delays or issues encountered during routes.
Complete documentation accurately, including proof of deliveries and uplifts.
Obtain necessary signatures from authorized representatives upon delivery and collection.
Safely collect returned goods for credit or supply and deliver them back to the site as instructed.
Maintain a daily log book detailing working hours and complete daily vehicle inspections.
Ensure vehicle cleanliness and proper maintenance, both inside and out.
Secure loads appropriately and comply with manual handling procedures.
Report any job-related risks or injuries promptly.
Adhere to Health & Safety protocols as outlined in SOPs.
Present a professional appearance by wearing the provided company uniform and relevant PPE.
Report all accidents and near misses immediately to the HS&E Manager.
Follow company procedures and client instructions in all departmental activities.
Carry out any reasonable requests from management.

Previous experience of driving a commercial vehicle is highly desirable
Full UK Driving Licence for the category of vehicle being driven (Cat B)
We do accept drivers with points, a driving licence check will be completed at screen/interview stage to determine whether to move forward with your application
